An outfielder, he appeared in eight games for the Kansas City Athletics of Major League Baseball during the season. Plarski was born in Chicago, Illinois. He threw and batted right-handed and was listed as tall and . His professional career, interrupted by military service during the Korean War, lasted from 1948–50 and 1953–56, most of it occurring in the lower and mid-minor leagues. His 1955 trial happened at mid-season.
